Believe me, I put my worst on hold when I’m talking to you. When I’m conducting myself away from your company…it’s kind of like a big witty train wreck.

But, it’s really good that I at least know how to make you smile. If there’s one thing I’ll keep up with, it’s that.

She grinned broadly and tucked a lock of blonde hair behind her ear. “There you go again, making me smile.” She made a motion toward the chair beside his bed. “You don’t mind if I stay for a little while?”

And here I was, looking forward to coming back to school in the buff. It would be like one of those dreams that we’ve all had, only in real life. On second thought, I’m really glad that she gave you those clothes. 

As for being let out, I don’t really know. They just have to run a few tests to make sure that I’m good to go, and then I should be back at school, walking, talking, and annoying the general populace.

It’s nice to see that your tussle with the lizard didn’t affect your sense of humour. I’ll just leave these things here for you. 

And I hope you get out soon. It’s really not the same without you. Flash has had to find someone else to pick on.

Your aunt gave me a bag of your clothes to bring so you have something to wear when they let you out.

When are they letting you out? I miss you at school.

It looks so much worse than I remember. It’s going to take a while to get it back to how it was. 

Yeah, it’s not something that I would have wished on it. But hey, it’ll be back to the way it was before you know it. And there won’t be any giant lizard monsters to contend with either.
